Gary W. Sibley
A lifelong Dallas resident, Gary Sibley graduated from Baylor Law School after serving in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He first practiced with Luna, Muerto & Sibley before becoming an Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County. Gary Sibley later served as General Counsel for Great American Life Insurance Company, Pleasant Grove Hospital and the State of Texas Self-insurance Fund.
Gary Sibley launched his private practice in in 1988. Gary’s primary emphasis focuses on real estate law, insurance law and civil litigation. He has represented insurance companies, builders, developers, property owners, government entities, hospitals, HOA Associations and individuals.
In 1993, Gary Sibley won a $5-million judgement for pain and suffering for the surviving children in a wrongful death case. The verdict was the highest amount awarded in Texas at that time.
Gary Sibley's community service includes terms on numerous Dallas Bar Association Committees, including chairing and co-chairing Continuing Education and the Fee Dispute Disciplinary Committees. He also served on various committees for the State Bar of Texas and as co-chair and chair of the Judicial Nominations Committee for the City of Dallas. He currently serves on the City of Dallas Board of Adjustment.
Gary is licensed to practice in in Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas; Second, Third, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Ninth Circuit Courts, U. S. Tax Court and the U. S. Supreme Court.
